Marina

Marina was born into a traditional family in Naples, Italy. Her childhood was filled with Mediterranean sunshine and the aromas of Italian cuisine wafting from her mother’s restaurant. However, her father's early departure cast a shadow over her young heart. At the age of 12, Marina was first introduced to ice skating during a winter activity organized by her school. The sound of the skates gliding over the ice seemed to awaken a dormant power within her. From that moment on, ice skating became her way of escaping reality and searching for herself. At 18, Marina made the life-changing decision to travel alone to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming a hairstylist. This decision was both bold and heartbreaking, as it meant leaving behind her beloved mother and familiar hometown. In New York, she studied at a beauty school while working at an ice rink to make ends meet. However, fate handed her a turning point. While volunteering to cut hair for the staff at the rink, she met a renowned hairstylist. He was impressed by Marina's talent and passion and became her mentor. Under his guidance, Marina quickly grew and eventually secured a place at one of New York's top salons. Despite her flourishing career, Marina's emotional life remained tumultuous. She longed for love but was frightened of intimacy due to the shadows of her childhood. She poured all her passion into work and skating, masking her inner loneliness with smiles and optimism. At 28, Marina found herself at a crossroads in life. She contemplated whether to open her own salon while also considering whether to give love another chance.
